A melodic vocal score blends with the angry rantings of a little black girl left behind within her wonderings and wanderings after being bussed to an all white school. A doll dances shakily through a house built from the girls scary dreams, while the spectators are confronted with discordant images, frantic performances, and their own responsibility for her suffering.
